BPII
Ion Source Inverter Power Supply (ISPI) The ISP is the power “heart” of the ion cleaning system. It converts line power into high-voltage power, necessary for operating various types of ion sources within the vacuum system. Key Features
• Intelligent Control: The ISP is designed for use in automated PC-controlled systems. It supports semi-automated operation, simplifying operator work.
• Inverter Technology: The use of modern IGBT modules and operation at a medium frequency (25 kHz) improves arc prevention and smoothly and precisely regulates the output voltage in the range from 0.5 to 3.0 kV.
• Instant Response: The built-in key driver not only controls power but also independently protects the system from short circuits and overloads, preventing equipment failure.
• Signal Purity: A multi-stage filtering system eliminates high-frequency interference, ensuring process stability and protecting the rest of the system’s electronics. Design Features
• Design: The unit is designed in a standard form factor for installation in an electrical rack.
• Operation Indication: The front panel features digital indicators for the anode current and voltage, allowing the operator to monitor the ion beam status in real time.
• Power System: Operates from an industrial three-phase 380V network and is resistant to voltage fluctuations (±10%). Reliability Principle The BPII includes: 1. A switch and a line filter. 2. Conversion: Rectification and transmission to a high-frequency IGBT inverter. 3. Generation: A step-up pulse transformer with galvanic isolation for maximum safety. 4. Control: High-precision current and voltage meters transmit data directly to the overall control system (ConVac software).
