Modernization of vacuum furnaces

The following work is being performed as a result of the modernization:

1. A new control panel based on an industrial controller.

2. Automated control of the pumping system and technological processes.

The control system allows the operator to create technological processes, generates report files, and continuously monitors the following in the form of graphs:

► Product temperatures based on six embedded thermocouples,

► Temperatures based on three furnace thermocouples, – Heating power, – Heating rate,

► Vacuum sensor readings, – Cooling water temperature,

3. Heating is controlled by furnace and embedded thermocouples, allowing for more uniform heating of the products throughout the entire volume.

4. New pumps, as agreed with the Customer.

5. New: high-vacuum trap, forevacuum valves, forevacuum pipelines.

6. New water supply and drainage system.

7. A new heating zone, including molybdenum heaters and five layers of protective screens.

The upgrade not only restored the vacuum furnace’s rated heating and vacuum performance, but also significantly improved its control.
