Resistive evaporator

The resistive evaporator operates by heating the evaporated material to a boiling point. Heating is achieved by passing a current of up to 600 A through a tungsten “boat” containing the film-forming material. The resistive evaporator consists of two current leads secured by the “boat” mount. To dissipate thermal energy, the current leads have a flow-through, cooled housing.
