Ion source
The ion source is designed to treat and activate the surface of parts with a beam of ions from a working gas. Pre-treatment with an ion source allows for high adhesion properties of the surface of parts. The working gas is Ar (agon). Working gas ions are generated in crossed electric and magnetic fields, and their acceleration determines the potential difference across the anode-cathode gap.
